Before the Enchanted Realms Book Festival became a reality…
It all started with a little book club 🫶🏻
But first, a quick history about me & my relationship with books:
As a typical millennial teenager and young adult, I read a few of our favorite fantasy series… Harry Potter, Twilight, The Hunger Games, 50 Shades of Grey, the usual.
In my mid 20s, life got busy, priorities shifted, and I lost touch with how much I loved reading. Becoming a wife and a mom have been two of the best things in my life, but as most new moms do, I lost sight of doing things that made me happy and what “self- care” meant to me.

Fast forward to 2023. I was starting to become good friends with an amazing group of women and was asked to join their new book club. I was hesitant at first because it had been so long since I had picked up a book, but I mean who could resist dragons, badass heroines, and some spicy scenes? So, I was in.
I devoured the first series we read and immediately moved on to another…and another…and now let's just say my TBR list is a mile long. It was safe to say I fell in love and was absolutely obsessed with the romantasy genre. Many of the characters I read about were women who overcame trauma and discovered their happiness, strength, and self-worth, and I really connected with that.
We felt inspired to throw book themed dinners and parties and dressed up as our favorite characters, purchased an endless amount of book merch, planned girls trips and trips with our spouses and kids, and we have spent countless hours talking about our favorite chapters and theories.
Yes, it started with just reading books, but it has meant so much more than that to me. We bonded so much over our love for these books and it has created this sense of community and understanding, and has grown into such a beautiful and supportive group of friends that bring me so much love and happiness!
Thus, my inspiration for creating the Enchanted Realms Book Festival was born. My vision is an event where those who also love these books can connect with others who feel the same way 🖤
